Length Check!

I am a little disappointed in this length check since it has been 2 months and I cant see much of a difference but I am also aware that everyone's hair grows differently so it will be ok! I would also like to wish everyone a Happy New Year! Stay safe and I will see all you lovely followers in 2012

Chaela's New do!!!!

Ok let me start by saying it has been forever since I have done a hairstyle on my babies :\ well anything that was worth sharing with holiday havoc and everything else I just haven't had time!

So I finally got around to getting Chaela's hair done without further ado here it is

I started like always on clean detangled hair I washed her hair with Beautiful Curls curl moisturizing shampoo and conditioner.

I parted a square on the top of her head to the side and did 3 braids going to the side of her head then braided the rest straight back

I then secured her hair with these pretty yellow bands and did a regular 2 strand twist on the ends of her hair I am hoping to put this into a cute updo in the morning after her twist have dried from the eco styler gel I used to hold them

And of course I tried to get a cute pic of her smiling but she decided to move and get a profile shot instead =)

Will do an update soon if I can get the updo to work the way I want it too!!! Check out brothers in the back lol!!!!

Caps For Kids Sign Up

I have recently Contacted Children's Mercy Hospital, Ronald McDonald House, and St. Judes Children Hospital  to donate some Crochet Chemo Caps for children suffering from cancer, We will be shipping them out around February 1st. Blended Beauty Review!

We are reviewing Blended Beauty for this review we recieved their Curly Cake Shake, as well as their Down & Out Styles butter. I used these on Chaela so she could wear her hair out and as many of you know we don't do that often especially since it is getting cold but we didn't have anywhere to go so I decided lets keep it down instead of doing a quick style. I started off by washing and deep conditioning her hair to wash I used Beautiful Curls Shea Butter Shampoo and for deep conditioning I used Jane Carter Solutions Conditioner.



   After Washing and deep conditioning I used the Blended Beauty Curly Cake Shake as a moisturizer and detangler, I was actually able to detangle most of her hair with my fingers using this product instead of having to use our wide tooth comb.  After I was done detangling I parted her hair directly down the middle, and then parted into small sections to apply the Down & Out styles.

This is what her hair looked like directly after applying it, I am going to be honest I like how her curls looked and that they weren't crunchy I did have to use a bit more product than I would have liked but it seemed to work better with lots of product, I tried this once before with just a little and they did not stay moisturized and got super frizzy.

This is the princess 4 hours after applying her curls still looked nice and were not crunchy at all which I absolutely loved, every thing I try makes her curls crunchy :\

This is her hair about 7-8 hours after and she had already took a nap with her hair wrapped up of course! OO don't mind the bow change her Grandma made her this bow to wear for christmas and she just had to put it on.

Boys Braids!

Hey I know I've been MIA Holidays are always super busy in our house, since we have so much family to visit this time of year, I did do Malikhi's hair after thanksgiving we did not do styles for this holiday just did not have the time to do anything intricate. So here is what I did with Malikhi before he went back to school

He has 3 bigger braids this style is hard to walk through so I hope the pictures help, we washed and conditioned his hair using Beautiful curls shampoo and conditioner.

sealed in the moisture from the water with coconut oil detangled and parted then started braiding.

We did this style over the course of 4 hours taking several breaks during this. He loves it and so do I.

Minibraids- Well the Minibraids only lasted 2 weeks before they were looking pretty rough He will not sleep with anything on his head so that is probably why.
